Throughout the week our soup kitchen and breakfast services offer two meals a day to people with vulnerabilities in our community.

Fuelled by the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our volunteers, we serve hundreds of hot meals each year to people experiencing food poverty and hardship. For many, these meals are not just a help – they are a lifeline.
Our breakfast service and soup kitchen go far beyond meeting immediate hunger. They offer connection, dignity, and a safe space where individuals are met with warmth and respect. In a world where food insecurity can leave people isolated and unseen, these services are often the first step toward rebuilding trust and stability.
For many of our service users, the soup kitchen is where their journey with Helping Hands begins – a ‘hand up’ that opens the door to compassionate support, lasting relationships, and the possibility of a brighter, more secure future.
