Fundraising is essential to our charity, enabling us to support our various projects and cover core costs.

The fundraising efforts of local schools, businesses, faith groups and organisations plays a key role within Helping Hands. We would love you to get involved and you can do so in a number of ways, whether it’s a soup kitchen takeover, taking part in one of our events (or organising your own) or participating in a challenge.

Soup Kitchen Take Overs

Get your whole team involved by preparing and cooking the food we serve at one of our daily soup kitchens or breakfast services. With the support of our volunteers we serve over 300 hot meals a week – demonstrating what a vital service we’re delivering. These sessions are a great way to see your contribution in action and to observe what a meaningful difference you’re making to the lives of the people we support. Christmas shoebox appeal

One of our most loved and necessary services; our annual shoebox appeal delivers hundreds of shoeboxes containing Christmas goodies to those in need. Organisations and our community can get involved by collecting items, assembling the shoeboxes and delivering them to individuals and families in need.
