Thanks to the tireless efforts of more than 100 brilliant volunteers, we’re able to extend a helping hand to the most vulnerable people in our community. As the demand for our support services grows, we’re always on the look-out for more helpers. Whether you’ve got a handy skill, some spare time to dedicate to a worthy cause, or wish to donate items, we'd love to hear from you. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference to the lives of those we serve.

Volunteering

Time is one of the most valuable items you can donate here at Helping Hands. From preparing and serving food in our breakfast services or soup kitchens, to volunteering in our charity shop, our community needs your support. Whether you have days to spare, or only a few hours, your donated time allows us to keep doing what we do.

From linguists to landscape gardeners – from baristas to bassoonists, we need your help! Whether that’s teaching a new skill at one of our support group sessions, or rewiring a kitchen as part of our House2Home project, we want to hear from you.
